Sandbox Test School

Test School

All developers on the Assembly Platform are invited to sign up to their own sandbox environment for testing purposes.

Each sandbox environment contains a test school with a randomly generated name and a complete set of Secondary school data.

This test school (along with a test app) can be used to test the OAuth flow end-to-end. Alternatively you can manually generate an access token and focus on testing your integration straight away.

One important feature of the Assembly platform is that we normalise the data we extract from a school’s MIS wherever possible. Your test school therefore contains data in a normalised form that should be comparable to what you find when you connect your app to real schools.

During development your app will use the test school data set by default. Real school data will become available when the app transitions to live and schools sign up.
